All About Structural Body Care

Dr. Hillis incorporates chiropractic and craniosacral care into a whole-body centered plan for optimum health. Our highly skilled hands-on practice methods are based on years of training and experience with emphasis on Applied Kinesiology (AK), originally developed by Dr. George Goodheart, as well as Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) developed by the pioneering osteopath/chiropractor Dr. Major B. DeJarnette. Dr. Hillis trained directly under both of these pioneers of the manipulative arts.

Much emphasis is placed on the relationship of nerve signals from the organs of the body to the surface of the body giving signs of distress. This is called "viscero-somatic analysis". Dr. Hillis is considered an expert in this area. This method allows for an extra window of diagnostic insight as to what the specific needs of the body are at the time of examination from a neurologic perspective. These methods combined with a thorough interview with the patient, along with all necessary diagnostic tests including blood, urine, etc. and all diagnostic imaging such as MRIs, that may be necessary, are utilized as part of the process of determining what has really gone wrong to cause the problems and symptoms you are experiencing. This is a very thorough practice of natural heath care at its best and is rooted in the latest medical scientific research.

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease." - attributed to Thomas Edison.
